Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum to Celebrate Dot Day in D.C.
A full-day Dot Day celebration set for Saturday, September 19th, featuring Peter H. Reynolds appearance, dot scavenger hunt, and collaborative dot chalk art.
The Dot is coming to the Hirshhorn Museum! On Saturday, September 19th, the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C., is celebrating International Dot Day. The art museum besides the National Mall invites visitors to “think like an artist” as they celebrate the day with creativity and making your mark.
The event will include a special visit from Peter H. Reynolds, who will join visitors for a read-aloud of The Dot and book signing. There will be lots of fun dot-making activities, including a scavenger hunt for dots at the galleries and collaborative chalk art on the Plaza. Of course, what better place to celebrate than at the dot-shaped Hirshhorn Museum!
